Learning Lift Off Term 2
An exciting day for Kusama class today, as we became detectives!

1. Our day started with a story on the Priory Fields playing field, but it soon became obvious to us all that something was wrong!
As we looked around the field, we could see some strange items. The children rushed to see what they could find. We found:
- A handwritten notes
- An old fashioned pistol
- A blood stained handkerchief
- A three pointed hat
- A black mask
- A leather pouch full of gold coins.
The children were very excited and started to think about what this could all mean.
2. We took pictures of the items and added them to our Creative Curriculum books. WE discussed what each could mean and came to the conclusion that something had happened at Priory Fields, some type of crime! But what? Who was involved? When did it happen?
3. After our break we had a visitor in class! Mr Duncan Holle, a trader from Paris, France, was a witness to the events of the morning. The children used open questions to find out just what he had seen and to help them solve the mystery.

4. Once we had more details on the crime from our eye witness, we drew wanted posters to help catch the criminal!

5. The children came up with some amazing ideas as to what could have happened. Please ask them to share their theories with you. Amazing detecting and a great Learning Lift Off to start our Crime and Punishment topic for term 2.

Kusama Class’s fabulous adventures at Forest School!
Wow what Adventurous Aardvarks and Open-Minded Octopus we have in Kusama class. Everyone in Kusama class embraced their outside learning day, from bug hunting, tree climbing, habitat building through to mapping the planets of our milky way on the field, we all embraced the opportunity to learn outside! At first some of us were a little nervous to start adventuring, but with encouragement from friends and our Forest School lead Mr Trenowden, we all gradually became more adventurous and exceeded what we thought we would achieve. From getting closer to bugs to climbing to the third branch of the tree, Kusama class adventured beyond their own expectations! Well done everyone, you were all Awesome, Amazing and your Best Selves!
Kusama Class motto; Be Awesome, Be Amazing, Be Your Best Self….. and you certainly were today!
