Welcome to Early Years!

In Early Years we are brilliant explorers, excellent collaborators and very Aspirational Ants. We have started making new friends, learning new sounds and practicing our counting. 

Term 1 - Our Families

We have been talking and learning about our families. We all have different families but we have some things are the same! Some of us have brothers, some have sisters and some of us have both. We have painted them, shared photos from home and made them too.

Term 1 - Writing

We are such keen writers that we write independently during our play and these are some of our pieces that we were very proud of! 

    

Term 1 - Drawing Club

In our Drawing Club adventures we have had to help the Little Red Hen keep her bread safe and we had problems with bears and other animals trying to steal it from her!  The skeletons from Funny Bones needed our help as well to decide what pets to have so we drew our ideas and then made them homes too. 

       

   

Term 1 - Autumn Conker Collecting

We have been on an Autumn walk to collect beautiful shiny conkers and then used them in loads of our learning, including weighing them and rolling them in paint. 

Term 1 - Maths

In Maths the animals needed help to sort out their picnic. They didn't know which chairs they should have or which crockery belonged to them to so we used our knowledge of size and sets to work out the problem for them.
