Term 5 - Forest School

We have been exploring forest school this term. We have been making bug hotels as we want to be Respectful Rabbits and look after them. Look at what we got up too! We had so much fun and we were Collaborative Cats working as a team. Look at our big, smiley Happy Hippo faces!

Term 5 - Endangered Species Day

On Friday, we celebrated Endangered Animals by dressing up as animals that are endangered. We dressed up as tigers, giraffes and several monkeys! During the day, we learnt about a Red Panda. Did you know they are very good climbers? They LOVE to eat Bamboo and come from China. We also learnt the sign language for Endangered which means there aren’t many animals left.

‘I love monkeys!’

‘Snails have a shell!’

Term 2 - Forest School

What Adventurous Aardvarks we have been!  We have had an exciting start to Term 2 taking part in Forest School.  Some of us were a bit nervous at first when it came to climbing the grassy or muddy banks, so we learnt how to fall safely onto our bottoms if we thought we were going to slip.  As the time went on, any fears began to evaporate and we took more risks (safely) with our navigating, investigating, digging and climbing.  We also enjoyed using the binoculars and magnified pots to help us see things up close such as bugs hidden under logs or the key parts of flowers. We really liked exploring all the different Forest School areas and beginning to discover some of the possibilities they hold for us…we can’t wait until next term when we get to visit again!

An Exciting Start!

It has been an exciting start to Early Years. We have been exploring the environment both inside and outside. Together, we were Collaborative Cats and went to look for conkers around the school. We found LOADS! Then we carefully caried them down to class.

We also had a tiger visit us and leave us clues! Look at the video of what we saw!
