To help them in their learning about WW1, Year 6 recently visited Hawthorne Trenches.  Located near Elham, a farmer has painstakingly recreated WW1 trenches, complete with dugouts and a No Man's Land area.  Richard, the farmer, took the children on a tour of the trenches and explained the history of WW1.   The children later got the chance to see some original artefacts and dress up in WW1 uniform! It was a great experience for the children, see the Year 6 class page for more photos!
