Year 6 have been learning about WW1 and to help them understand the reality of the soldiers' lives, they visited Hawthorne Trenches at Elham.  At Hawthorne, both British and German trench systems have been re-created, complete with dug-outs and no-man's land areas, which the children were able to explore.  They were even able to dress up to complete the experience!
