We learnt a lot about how to be safe by the sea, so we’re all ready for the beach days in summer!
History
We have been looking at Grace Darling and why she is so important!
We created puppets and a stormy watercolour scene to retell the story and in groups we created the storm lighthouse setting. We used these to retell the story of Grace Darling to the year 2s. It was so much fun sharing our learning!
Computing and Maths
In computing this term we are looking at algorithms. We have been giving instructions to bee-bots. We have used our maths skills of position and direction to give clear instructions.
Learning Lift Off
For our ‘Lift Off’ we went to Priory Fields beach! We had lost of fun playing in the sand and water. We played modern beach games and Victorian style games. We made sandcastles and went ‘crabbing’, we played quoits and bowling with our friends. We had a go at making and flying kites, it was great fun!
