Learning Lift Off

Year 6 enjoyed making and tasting carrot cake made from an original recipe that would have been used in WW11. Due to rationing, ingredients were scarce, but as carrots could be grown in the garden or on top of Anderson shelters, they were used to sweeten the cake.
