Graham
Welcome to the webpage for Graham Class!
Our teachers are: Mrs Lucion and Mrs Wheeler. Our TA is Mr Woods!

Term 5
We have been avid reporters, devising a front page exclusive!
We worked in teams just like collaborative cat, using our skills to report on the adventures of The Stone Age Boy.
We used evidence from the original story to support us.
Some of the team used their artistic skills to draw pictures to portray key events.
Features we used:
Captivating headline
Captions
Event in chronological order
Quotes from eye witnesses
Pictures depicting what happened.

What would you do if you were catapulted into another time dimension?
Come back to read our own adventure stories where we tell tales of us being transported to a different time in the past, will we ever get back to the future???
Term 4 - World Book Day
Graham class enjoyed World Book Day, er had super heroes, some princesses, pokemn, a skeleton, a child spy, many characters from Roald Dahl, a few Harry Potters, the Worst Witch, a kitty cat, a Skoda man, Lionel Messi (probably the best footballer ever) and A BIG BAD WOLF!

Gymnastics
In our gymnastics lessons, we have been learning to balance, stretch and move and sing these elements in a sequence. These movements we used in a floor routine and performed them to each other.

We performed our floor routine to the song "Symphony" by Clean Bandit. Each performance lasted 1 and a half minutes, some of us chose to use scarves and ribbons to add to the mood and enhance the routine.
Maths
We have been partitioning numbers into tens and ones, playing bingo and making the numbers using base 10 and counters.

PE
In our PE lessons, we've been learning to race and run. Also, learning about lunging and how to push from our feet and use the power of our legs to propel us forward. We have been practising control, running at full sprint then running slowly. We devised our own tasks adding in jumping jacks, quick lunges. We have been using balance to help our agility, jumping over cones.

Music
In music we have been learning the ukulele, learning to strum and pluck. We used a plectrum to help us too, we have learnt chords such as baby f and c.

Since the beginning of term, we have been learning about the amazing life of Mary Anning - a female fossil hunter who was a pioneer in her field. We learned about her life through a story and used this as a basis to write our own discovery stories. We created an object to be discovered, and have worked all week to plan and write how this object was found. We look forward to showing you some of our stories during our learning landing at the end of term.
